>>121901364I think he was talking about the scene where Fritz incites a riot in a black ghetto, the police sends out SWAT teams and
Duke dies. Even in that scene, what does he do? He just runs the fuck away.
>>121900983>>121901493You know it's really great you guys got a message from all this. But I don't think it was actually intentional. And the only reason (You) interpret it as a warning against being an extremist (be that left or right) is because of recent events. Like you can go without another riot in america for two weeks. Right.
That's not wrong, if you walk away from Fritz the Cat with an actual message, well good for you buddy. But I really don't think that was the intention though.
Like say this part
>>121901469, sure it rags on privileged white college women but the movie doesn't really go any further than that. It just makes a joke at their expense and then moves on. Just like Fritz, there's nothing really to dwell on. No larger message or anything like that involved.
Just look at Fritz. Look at the arc he goes through. Why does he go on his adventure? Because of an accident. What does it involve? Is he looking for something or someone? Is he trying to change the world or whatever?
No. He's just some white middle-class college dude who wants pussy. That's it. That's what he was at the start of the movie. And that's what he is at the end of it.
A bunch of shit happens to him, but he never really reflects on ANYTHING. He's just done with one thing and then moves on to the next like a vulture. When he finds out he's still alive, and he can still go and get some pussy, he forgets ALL of his troubles, ALL the shit that happened to him on the road.
He's just simply happy that he can still get pussy. I'm not saying that this movie NEEDS to have a big fucknig philosophy message or whatever bullshit. But I think you're imagining way more depth into it than there actually is. Just a bunch of stuff happening. And then it's over.
