None of those are his problem, if he were pathetic he would stay at home and refuse to help in the first place. As it is he is the voice of reason to Hilda’s daring and Frida’s ambition. Bravery is the overcoming of fear, not the abscence of fear, and David overcomes it in every episode he’s ever starred in.
