It's the reason why people think it's impossible to make a good FF movie. I like that The Thing was a guy in a real costume instead of CGI though.

It was pretty much in line with superhero films at the time. I thought it and its sequel, were fun films. I think Johnny and Sue were miscast but Ben and Reed were spot on.

Because the movies always focus on the science-fantasy aspect of the FF and nothing more.
Can't make Doom into a sorcerer or a dictator if you don't want to expand the setting beyond the space accident.

It was extremely mediocre, it spent way too much time on them getting used to their powers and they barely did heroic things that being said, Alba was hot even if she’s not a particularly good actress, and whoever they cast as Sue in the MCU will already be a downgrade in terms of looks

I liked the first one, it’s not perfect but still fun for its time movie that wasn’t afraid to be a comic book movie, but RotSS was trash and soured the well so then we got Fan4stic as the reaction to that and that made things worse

I bet you the MCU version will be worse, MCU Spidey has people questioning if TASM was that bad so I'm expecting MCU F4 and X-men to be so terrible that people will start praising the old movies
Besides Fan4sticks, mishandling of Doom twice and BRAP Cloud Galactus those films were okay
