>>121391521As a straight dude who likes Transformers, I always found it interesting how (outside of twitter secondaries and screamer-cultists) femanons who desperately want to fuck the robots are probably some of the most pleasant people to discuss TF with.
Maybe it's because me being a sci-fi autist who comes at the whole franchise from the perspective of 'man, this alien race is really cool and interesting and I'd love to see more of their culture, history and ongoing conflicts', but most of the time the male TF fans I encounter seem to have no interest in any of the things I actually enjoy about the franchise. Usually it's brain-dead cartoon fans who only vaguely give a shit about Transformers and half the time will derail the conversation to talk about their (practically universally cringey and- worse- boring) crossover fanfiction between whatever random assortment of shows they saw on Cartoon Network as a kid that tangentally involves Animated or something.
Well, either that or the TFW2005 Gen-Xers who, no matter what side of the political ravine they are standing on, seem to find some way to be bitchy, obnoxious and poorly informed about whatever they're whining about. Either way, it sucks and it seems bizzare that it's the fujos of all people that I seem to find the most common ground with.
