>>121338622I didn't wanna disappoint people who were expecting something big out of Wilkins, but I also felt the longer things went on the more likely I was gonna indirectly fuck up someone else's plans by killing him off so casually.
His death was both early on and at the very end, supposed to be "Vriska gets pissed at him for fucking up and kills him", even if the exact reasons why changed slightly (In Round 1 it would have been for failing to kill Star, in Round 2 it would have been for getting overambitious, et cetera)
I don't wanna cast blame, but right here is where ZoneAnon and AmityAnon threw fuel in the fire and didn't help matters. They made things grander, and by the middle of the round a ton of people were hyping up Wilkins and I realized he wasn't going to lose.
So I gambled. If Dan could beat Zim and the Dealers, he could fight Wilkins.
Dan is a scorpio. Daniel Mandel is a valid troll name. Dan knows occult shit. I could pull it off, it would be a solid finale, people wouldn't be upset, and I could keep the Dan train chugging afterwards.
And it almost worked. I've heard some say that if people had waited to vote in Round 3 instead of voting right away Dan would have won, but we'll never know.
Dan lost. Wilkins won. People kept hyping up Wilkins further, and then (googles) Tulio and Miguel became actual gods with the intents of interacting with Wilkins later. Prior to that they had been focused on Scam Inc.
I had just fucked up someone elses story because I couldn't deal with Wilkins.
So I panicked, I told everyone I planned to kill him off uncerimonously the second he lost so they wouldn't back on him, and I bailed.
...............I think it would have worked here. Wilkins has a bunch of repetitive commercials, others have entire shows. I remembered quite clearly how he got stomped in the qualifiers for Mr /co/.
Going to 4chan+ shifted the dynamic to be way more RP dependant then it had been last time, and I think that fucked up things.
