The black friend looks like a blatant ripoff of Irwin from Billy and Mandy, except he's devoid of all the traits that made Irwin a fun character. Calling him an Irwin knockoff would be too generous anyway, he's just your typical Nerdy Black Best Friend and Urkel clone No. 17653343. The main characters are a family comprised of:
-a generic little boy protag (annoying edition)
-le quirky kooky girl no. 176533445467
-le feisty grandma no. 197875
-le fat dad, whom I sort of liked because he was a refreshingly decent father, still not interesting enough to carry the show.
-some ugly pets.
Pretty much all the main characters have going for them is the fish-out-of-water hillbilly gimmick, which is not that interesting or endearing IMO.
