How can MCU fix Captain Marvel? By that I mean Brie Larson, I fucking hated her in her own film and in Endgame the only scene I liked was "Hey, Peter Parker". It's fucking weird because I actually liked her a lot in Kong Skull Island and then I saw Captain Marvel and hated her. Will Captain Marvel 2 make her more likeable? Who is to blame here? I just find it wierd, she is nice in Kong Skull Island.

An actor's perfomance also depends of the director. Brie Larson is a far better actress than Gal Gadot, but was stuck with a mediocre script and had to play "stoic".

The best thing Endgame did, in general, was give Carol Mar-Vell's comic suit.

For the first time in comics or movies, I believed Carol was Captain Marvel and had a responsibility as the most OP humanoid in the galaxy. That she was out there doing an actual job that had actual pressure.

To me, that implication has been the most interesting thing about Carol. That she is a human, or a human-raised-Kree, and familiar with the GOTG-level space stuff as standard, but will presumably be going on to take on bigger foes (Silver Surfer's introduction has been unsubtantiatably rumoured for her sequel), is very engaging. She's a good blank canvas on which to build mounting powerlevels and stakes, and I hope the scale of her adventures starts to colour her as a character.

To an extent I think you're conflating the actress with the character.
But what the character needs next is to be humbled. Her solo movie was all about realizing that she can be powerful and limitless, which was the right choice for the story they were telling. The next step is to humanize her, to "bring her down to earth" metaphorically, so we as the audience can see how she's burdened with the safety of large parts of the galaxy.

She needs to have her ass kicked, and I'm not saying that out of spite or resentment. Since becoming Captain Marvel Carol hasn't had to undergo any kind of personal growth and writers in general seem afraid to imply that the strong female characters they're propping up are anything less that perfect. Someone said that in her movie she has no character arc just a character straight line. Put her up against an enemy who just completely decimates her best efforts and show the audience/readers what she'll do to overcome it.

Carol in Endgame was basically an ascended extra. She's Chekov's Gun, setup in the first act, callback with the hologram and then absent until fired in the final act.

So all her characterization was, as I said, all hints and insinuations. I'm hopeful they'll develop it further but again, that's in spite of all the actual evidence. There's nothing concrete about MCU Carol, except the Mar-Vell costume, that I can point to and call interesting. But there's groundwork there for something interesting to come later.

I know it gets bandied about a lot, but carol had one line in Endgame that made me like her a lot more.
When the Avengers are asking her where she is, and she says something to the effect of "Earth doesn't need me. It's got you."
It's a quick line but it shows some humility, shows that she's aware of the weight of her responsibility, and it makes the rest of the avengers look better. I want more stuff like that.

The problem with Carol especially in the movies is her identity crisis. Is she quirky and relatable or a hardass career soldier? An underdog or the most powerful person in just about any given room? A champion of earth or a hero of the stars? Apparently she's all of this and therefore not really any of it and as such her movie felt almost like two movies crowbarred together to me. Infinity War and Endgame leaned into making her more of a cosmic character but I have little faith that her sequel will continue this. They need to pick a direction. Or take a page from Genis and have her suffer a schizophrenic crackup int trying to figure herself and station out. I'd watch the hell out of that.
