>>121160009Releasing a movie that centers around an extravagant wedding between the obscenely wealthy, amid such a period of financial turmoil for so many, seems tone deaf.
The 3D animation masquerading as 2D, while technically well done, kills me a little inside. They're complicating something that didn't need it.
The few visual gags that worked were almost lifted completely from old shorts, so there's little justification to give them credit, and even less reason to watch.
The actors, who I assume are in this movie because they lost a bet, try to do their best with an awful script. But one who deserves scorn is Michael Pena. He doesn't seem to understand that he's acting opposite cartoon characters. One cannot outham cartoons.
The only positives about this movie, aside from a few r34 of the female cat we're sure to get, is that it makes Scoob look funny by comparison, and it steels us for the upcoming atrocity that will be Space Jam 2. Bring it on, you can't hurt me any more.
