Fry's eyes look pretty hopeful looking towards Leela. I don't know if that matches the idea of him fixing his appearance. Getting Leela pregnant is a rotten way of getting her to marry him.

It's the kind of face that would say "Well shit, I didn't think of that." This is Fry we're talking about, his face always expresses when he's been stumped. And he's happy but scared that now he's in deep (no pun intended).

We can see why the scene was deleted though. That reaction is confusing.

It just seems like the sleeve tugs are in response to the theory that Fry got Leela pregnant, not to the situation in general. Fry's face looks more about optimism rather than justice like it did before Bender spat out the idea.

I think there was a communication problem with the animators. I have this problem when I try to visualize imagery in a book. Whenever an author describes a charaxter doing something, I always imagine it as retardedly literal. I wouldn't be surprised if he was supposed to be nervously fidgeting but it was just worded like "Fry plays with his cufflinks"

I doubt it. Given the context of the line being from "Meanwhile" which really wouldn't be canon if Futurama were to return, Fry and Leela probably did consider having children at some point during the time pause but either couldn't because Fry and Leela are biologically incapable of conceiving a child or wouldn't because having a child in the time pause would have sentenced the kid to a lifetime of loneliness. I would think that settling for no children is such a blow on their esteem that they sort of convinced themselves that they would be terrible parents if put in the situation. It's self-deprecating as a method of coping. Fry isn't a violent guy and I seriously don't think he would have ever raised a hand to a kid, especially his own. I don't have a screenshot but as Fry says that, even Leela pats his hands like she is gesturing that it was something they came to terms with ages ago and it was for the best (which it was, could you imagine being their kid standing there as your parents decide to start all over again?).

That was fixed in "Parasites Lost" by the worms and confirmed to be restored enough to enable Fry to impregnate his grandmother in "Roswell That Ends Well". So Fry is verile.

Gonna sound like a stretch but in that context he is saying that he won Leela fair and square with no tricks. The phrase "nothing up my sleeves" is a phrase used to explain that the person has nothing to hide or any tricks/misdirection on them.

I think the idea was that Fry is telling Leela ha has "nothing in his sleeve" and insinuating that both parties had sex willingly. If Leela is pregnant, that means she fucked Fry. And Fry is basically saying "You willingly fucked me and I had no special tricks or lies to get you to do something like that".

Or at least that's my two cents.

Leela was more girly as a child. She only didn't become so inclined to action until adulthood. It's probably some sort of protective barrier she put up to stop being torn down for her mutation.

Leela has some traditionally masculine qualities like being the one to save Fry's life, but she is deep down a maternal person, and I think trait is deeper than her being a tough girl.

I personally know of three female-to-male transpeople, two of which I grew up with. Lemme just say, when the two I grew up with came out as trans, it was a "no shit" moment. They were super butch as kids, wearing clothes for boys and men in school. Leela is in no way like them.
