The Thanos arc in the MCU began with Iron Man's origin story and ended with Iron Man's heroic sacrifice. Who will be the new "Iron Man" that leads the Avengers and will be integral to the new story arc? Doctor Strange? Reed Richards? Zoomer Spider-Man? Carol Danvers? Thor?

they'll push for Captain Marvel obviously, she seems the perfect fit for this sort of character arc someone like Doctor Strange is too... esoteric? Not human enough to capture something like Iron Man's arc. They were already heading into this trajectory although it's possible they'll backtrack because of the backlash. Regardless there is no way they can recapture the spirit of Tony who had a decade of nostalgia uplifting him.

Carol was not prominently in Endgame because her presence would have changed nothing during the second act. She's a heavy hitter for what was triple stealth mission. Hulk is the only one that tried to brute force his way to a stone and look how that went.

I liked it. The actors for the kids are all spot on, the parents were given more unique personalities, and the way they reworked the Gibborim made a lot of sense. The last season goes off the rails though and it's clear they didn't really plan things out, the Gibborim story is prematurely concluded and then there's Morgan le Fay as a villain for no reason.

Wasn't most of the cast of Endgame just completely unable to work with her? The writing of Captain Marvel wasn't terrible, there was a story to be told, but Brie Larson managed to tank it by being unable to express anything but smug superiority or smug confusion for the entire runtime of the film.

Story is Taylor-Joy, like many young hot blonde actresses landing a movie deal so early in their lives, assumed she was the star of the show and demanded to be treated as such. This caused friction between her and her fellow cast members (in particular it's said she and Heaton had some kind of major issue, with most leakers pointing to her as the problem), and drama between her and that stupid director that didn't realize this was a movie about her. She just about shit-canned, over it but the character she was playing being so central to the plot that was hard to do so things ground to a halt at points as they tried to salvage the whole cluster fuck.

But it WAS just a rumor, I'll admit. And even if true, not even the most major of MANY issues the movie was plagued with.

I have no idea. I think they really blew it removing most of the new characters for almost all of EG so they could milk the final appearances of RDJ and Evans for all it was worth. They should have used to the movie to set up passing the torch and getting audiences invested in the new people. We had enough of Cap and Tony, they had 3 starring films each and 3 Avengers films.
