Give me ONE (1) good explanation as to why we haven't seen a supervillain team in either Marvel or DC movies like the Masters of Evil of the Legion of Doom and they instead insist on doing the alien warlord thing instead. Its fucking ridiculous to me, WHY WASNT AVENGERS 2 MASTERS OF EVIL, WHY DIDNT JUSTICE LEAGUE TO LEGION OF DOOM INSTEAD OF DARKSEID?

Legion of Doom/Injustice Gang was in the works before Justice League flopped and Snyder forced out.

They didn't do Masters of Evil because they want to do Thunderbolts as a spin-off and Dark Avengers as the evil Avengers rival team. As such, we had to make do with Hickman's rip-off of the Marauders; the Children of Thanos.

The reason why is they same reason the MCU didn't launch with Avengers. You have to do the work to introduce individual villains before you can have them team up, and action movie narrative rules dictate that the villain usually has to die at the end, so both Marvel and DC movies never manage to build up enough surviving villains to make a team from. If you just introduce a team of new villains out of nowhere you'll get the Suicide Squad movie, but they're the villains so they get even less development and characterization and nobody cares about them.

Introducing the Thunderbolts as a group of villains pretending to be heroes, with a group of characters we haven't previously seen as villains is even stupider than introducing an entire Masters of Evil team in a single movie.

No, the Serpent Society was never really happening. What happened was that in the summer of 2015, Feige was revealing the MCU Phase 3 lineup at a convention, the first movie was Captain America 3, which had already been heavily rumored to be Civil War. He announced it as "Captain America: Serpent Society" instead, deflating the normie hype for that movie, and moved on to revealing the others, then ended by pretending to change his mind about it, and revealing it would actually be Civil War, ending his presentation by getting the crowd more pumped up for the very next movie than they otherwise would have been.
