Was this the worst moment in any children's cartoon ever? It really proved how holier than thou and narcissistic Sugar is. Steven out of nowhere has PTSD from shit that didn't phase him before in order for sugar to virtue signal. If you think "Change Your Mind" was bad for negotiating with fascists, the Future finale was even worse for portraying the fascists in an apologetic light and making a virtue signal about mental illness and abuse. Steven was never abused. He was never mistreated. His dad was a bit stupid, but ultimately cared about him and loved him just as the crystal gems did. Boohoo Steven didn't get a trad life. So what? Steven had a pretty good childhood. The series should have ended with a battle against the creator of the diamonds, not WAAH WAAH I WENT THROUGH TRAUMA.
