I think the only Champion he sort of clicked with was Viv but that didn't even get that acknowledged past a certain point. I guess him not having a comic also hurts him but it's not like Kamala and Miles' writers ever cared to have him guest star in any significant way. But IMO Sam has been the more interesting character out of the three and in part thanks to Wells and Duggan.
Once MCU Kamala joins the Young Avengers they'll move her, Miles, and Riri to that team and all the other Champions are going to get either forgotten or made into a team of their own.
