>>120764518>Make a big, hot pink arcade gun, connected to an arcade cabinet, that the hero/villain carries around like a proton pack, the light gun shoots pixel constructs, the quarters work as the ammo, and different characters have different prices, maybe the Donkey Kong look-alike has the highest price.I like this idea.
My suggestion: the big drama-inciting roadblock is having the cabinet switch between and loading up different ROMs.
Donkey Kong is a single shot; it has the brute strength and barrels but is a neutral party (can turn against the user)
Pac-Man is a single shot; Pac-Man itself is frail but a decoy; the real power comes from the ghosts chasing after him
Space Invaders are a single shot each but can be spammed; they are a meatwall and nullify a certain amount of projectiles in the vicinity based on their own numbers
Pong paddles are a single shot that can be spammed, each coming with a ball; Pong relies on the opponent not knowing about the ball fired by the paddle and dodging it instead of sending it back; letting it pass causes indirect damage to them
Robotron is a single shot that can be spammed, serving as the reliable peashooter
Frogger is a joke selection that appears sometimes in place of the other choices; it spawns a frog that hops away, often into traffic
Bubble Bobble is a joke selection that appears sometimes in place of the other choices; it spawns a single bubble per shot that either encases whatever it touches, pops and creates a torrent of rapidly-streaming water, or pops and creates lightning
