>>120721213Sorry, you didn't pick up what I was implying.
Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn't the main character of ANH either.
A Jedi being there to save the day during specific moments of unique and overwhelming circumstance is something that has been a part of Star Wars since the beginning.
In the case of your argument and comparison, The reason Din Djarin has been competent for most trials through the series is because as a Mandalorian he trained his entire life to be able to kick ass.
When he fought one Dark Trooper, he got thrown around like a rag doll. That isn;t an indictment of him or his training. It was meant to establish how powerful Dark Troopers are. Despite your comparing them, they were not Thanos. They may have big a larger Black Order, like two members for each Avengers, but they weren't Thanos. If you recall, The Avengers fought the Black Order they had, and held their own, but didn't really kick their ass until Wanda, not Professor X, showed up.
Having Din, two other Mandalorians, a retired shock trooper and a merc take down an entire squad of Dark Troopers wouldn't have been writing them overcoming the odds. It would have been shitty writing, because there is no way they win that fight on their own.
Could it have been any other Jedi who saved the day? Yes. That's what I expected. Like I said earlier in the thread, Luke seemed like too big a pull. Part of the enjoyment of it though, was that even if it was too big a pull, the show got him, and for all the complaining about TLJ, when Jedi Master Luke Skywalker showed up with his lightsaber drawn, he did not disappoint.
Anyway, I doubt you'll have read this far, so whatever.
