>>120048317This was one of the last comics that came out from the Pre-Disney Marvel era and post-Kirkman Marvel Zombies was a bunch of writers trying to be as edgy and disturbing as possible without the stuff the dark humor and few heartfelt moments.
Also Joe Quesada just didn't give a fuck for what fans wanted and if he found it funny or controversial he would approve it. You could see your favorite character or childhood hero die in the most uncomfortable gory mess but god forbid he lights up a stoogie because Quesada's dad died of lung cancer.
