Firstly Green Pancho the First, must have been 14 years old, as she is the same grade as Xavier's sister. She is a freshman in high school, having just recently begun her school years. We all know how kids want to make a good first impression, or just not being seen as a loser or a social pariah. Having the fact that she plays along with elementary and middle schooler in silly games would be seen as humiliating for her peers. Heck, I'm pretty sure that could make her a target of bullying among the female students. Faced with a threat that would potentially ruin her high school life, which is for some, the most important period of their lives, she just decided it wasn't worth it. (And let's be honest, a young teenager spending all her free time playing with little kids would be a bit pathetic in real life.)
The Elders in the other hand, do not play with the kids, they just hang out in their literal man-cave together, playing Tabletop RPGs and just chilling in general. Those guys don't hide what they're doing, their open about why they here and they just do their own stuff in the creek. And I wouldn't be surprised if the fact the elders are present would reassure some parents about letting their kids play there. If there's any danger, the kid can just call the Elders. In the eyes of the parents, they are reliable as Mark has/had a job and David and Barry are good kids.
