Chris pays a press person to ask him the right questions
"Chris are you comfortable blah blah blah"?
Chris Pratt "Am I comfortable? No, but I can act comfortable as Peter. Sexuality maybe a surface characteristic for some, but for me, in a hetero-normative (* here Chris makes air quotes *) relationship with children comfortable only goes so far. When my wife was pregnant there were plenty of times where she was extremely uncomfortable, and she knew that, WE *knew* that going into it. For Starlord, he lives out in outer space, in the heavens, so to speak. There are Skrulls who shapeshift, who identify all over the place. He has friends who don't necessarily fit into the norms of the American society he grew up with, norms he was drastically distanced from. So there's just so much range, a lot to explore, as an actor. Although I understand that this is a political and a cultural question, and we wouldn't call it a philosophical question, for Peter Quill, although he doesn't present himself as a deep thinking or a philosopher, the question of relationship presented themselves to him, initially, philosophically because of his overall isolation within the Ravagers.
For Peter, for starters, and this shouldn't be where it begins or ends, but for starters, the idea of turning down intimacy based on gender after being so DRASTICALLY distanced from ANY and ALL familiarity didn't make sense to him. But that's all I'd like to say about this topic as I would prefer to communicate through acting. I'm an actor. And as much as it surprised everyone, myself included, a *movie star*;
Chris proceeds to undress to full buck naked, and walks out of interview.
