because he hasn't done anything good in over a quarter century.
I mean, I actually liked his WW run okay, but no one else did. His art got worse in the '90s, never recovered, and he stopped getting good ideas .

I forget he did work at 2000ad till I'm re-reading old progs and his name appears.

I've only read his post-crisis superman man of steel tpbs and buy the 5th I was a little drained, but he's decent enough I guess.

I have no idea what else he's written.

His Fantastic Four is legendary. And his Sensational She-Hulk is so underrated it's practically a crime. Basically a middle ground between Howard the Duck and Deadpool as far as comedy books go at Marvel. (Appropriately enough, Steve Gerber had a run on the series as well in between Byrne's 2 runs on it.)
