>>119689760I did this but people can smell the past failures on you. I wish I'd invested but it's impossible to tell the future and coming off a desperate situation you just want to be safe. I made a few friends but the way I relate to people has never gotten to what other people would consider normal for close relationships. Future plans are nice but what really matters is developing good habits; if all you have are plans, you won't change.
I still think there's a way out but I don't think it's necessarily LARPing being a normie and just hoping for the best. We're not them, (a lot of us) are too old to be them, but just because you can't be a Jedi doesn't mean you can't be a cool Force-sensitive civ with some work.
What scares people is that they ultimately have to be different. Life has to become different. You have to wake up with different sentiments and walking in a different direction than you do today. That's not easy. Humans don't want to change.
