Why is this the hill he chooses to die on? Based on what I've heard, plenty of people in the animation industry loathe this guy, so why is he so insistent on working on a cartoon with no direction, financial backing, or guaranteed audience outside the few people who like this? Not even a majority of his subscribers like it because they only want his reviews.

I just don't understand the premise. I mean, I get that "it's a world ruled by kids", and that's fine enough, it could be fun enough to just have this "crazy" kid-ruled-world, but what's up with the adults acting like kids, and the kids acting like kids? I thought the idea was that the kids act like adults and adults act like kids, but instead it's they both act like kids but the kids are somehow in charge and rule everything. I know he has said he has "thought everything out" about the universe of the show, but it doesn't really seem like it from the clips and whatever I've seen.
