I know I'm supposed to find Frank being denied his golden dream amusing but really the reality is that this ended up a lose-lose situation.
He could only work on a property he wasn't all that enthusiastic about (except as a springboard to DD) and the mediocrity of the series reflected that; and now he won't have the opportunity to prove the full extent of what his passion might have brought to Darkwing Duck.
Green's take on the series might end up godly for all we know but I'll wonder what of the timeline where Angones got Darkwing Duck and Ducktales was given to someone for whom the main Ducks themselves are the world.

I'm indifferent to this whole convo but Drakepad probably didn't happen because they barely know each other. It'd feel rushed as fuck. If the staff was building toward Drakepad I bet they'd have waited until the reboot proper (which Angones' staff trusted would be given to them) to have it happen there.

I don't know if Rogen can pull it off, but I'm glad he's getting the chance. Ducktales 2017 has shown little aptitude for writing/directing an action cartoon. I don't want more fan fiction, I want an honest reboot.
Disney rarely let outside producers touch their legacy toys. I can only hope Point Grey made a hell of a pitch.

The good thing is that the Nu-Ducktales crew will not do the Darkwing Duck reboot, but the bad thing is that it will take Seth Rogan to do the reboot. But I still can't judge until I see what the design will be in the DW reboot.
