>>119252101I haven't seen it, so it's probably not fair for me to comment, but I think there's a difference between political jokes ~30 years ago (man I feel old all of a sudden) and political jokes today, given how obnoxiously politicised everythign has become and how polarised everything is, I'm honestly just tired of hearing about politics in general, especially when it's in the form of people whining about Trump, and that's not because I think Trump is untouchable and forbidden from criticism, but mostly from it just being SO overdone. I think there's plenty of grond to make fun of Trump, and maybe the new Animaniacs is capable of doing it in a funny way, but I can see why other people are sick of "muh Trump" jokes, even without being hardcore Trump supporters themselves.
I think even the people who say stuff along the lines of "You must not want them there because you're a Trump supporting nazi!" are falling into the polarisation of wider society and furthering it without realising, because they are making a situation where you have to hate Trump and be on the side of loudmouth SJWs or on the "We love Trump" side alongside right-wing morons and boomers who don't understand the internet. Is it really impossible that somebody can't dislike, or just be tired of something that contains political elements without an ulterior agenda?
