>>119192501>the only people I’ve seen “like” the new Animaniacs are people who just wanted to defend the political stuff in itPeople do this all the time, yet like to pretend they are standing up for whatever is being criticised because it's good, but they always just stop talking about it immediately whenever the spotlight is off it, because it wasn't actually good and they were just trying to protect something that was on "their" side. I saw so many people rush to defend the 2016 Ghostbusters movie, I saw so many people rush to defend the new Star Wars movies, yet nobody says anything positive about either because they both sucked and people just wanted them to be good out of political affiliations.
It's probably not even "political affiliations" now that I'm thinking about it, but just this weird "old nerds" vs "new nerds" divide where if the "old nerds" don't like a reboot or continuation of something old, the "new nerds" feel a compulsion to defend it regardless of quality.
I haven't seen the new Animaniacs, I don't want to since I didn't really care for the original show, but I've seen some of these same people rush out to defend it, which makes me a little dubious of its actual quality.
