Moving on, It's not very /co/ material (but they did air a Gumby short so there -was- a cartoon on it once) but Joel Hodgeson willingly left Mystery Science Theater 3000 because the exec producer Jim Mallon was an utter piece of shit (who had driven away other staff members,) never begrudged the new host who took over the show, and eventually got the rights to the show he created *back* thanks to Shout Factory and successfully kickstarted the show onto Netflix for two seasons.
There's also that zoo-animal girl anime that the creator was forced out of, the execs drove the show in a new direction, *the fans completely went utterly fucking berserk and threw such a massive, prolonged shitfit that for ONCE, the execs realized they fucked up royal and hastily begged the creator to come back.* It apparently worked.
