>>119027196I totally understand you, there are out of these threads, who hate OG Ducktales, especially on reddit, but not because as you said there are haters DT reboot, but because supposedly in OG DT there are dissatisfied who say that in OG DT is not either Darkwing, Cabs, Daisy and other characters, as well as comments about triplets and Webby and what was a little Donald. Those are not mine, these are their words. I partly agree with them, but that's not why OG DT fell, and Darkwing came later, as a spin-off of DT87.
I love the DT87 it really fills my nostalgia, but I’m also entitled to my dissatisfaction around that series, I mean OG Ducktales. The main disappointment was that Donald barely appeared in the series and that some characters were added as permanent in the series (example Bubba), and some absolutely were not (Rockerduck).
I know, Webby was very boring in DT87, but she’s a five-year-old and of course she’s going to annoy Donald’s nephews with her behavior. Yes, it will be pretty tiring, but OG Webby had good moments like when she was in Junior Woodchucks and won more medals than triplets, when she softened Scrooge and relationships with Beagle Babes and Tea Party with Gene Genie in the Ducktales movie. For the rest I would not comment. Yes, Webby is better at DT reboot, but she was later made a Mary Sue character and became more boring than she should be.
Bubba wouldn't be a problem if he was only in one or two episodes, but to make him a permanent character, it became bad. Similar to Scrappy Doo in Scooby Doo, until they made him a villain. Doofus Drake was also a boring character, he is partly interesting, but I don't like him. But I don’t like him anymore in a reboot, a totally desperate character.
