The next Geoff Johns project will be a Crossover Event, but this time it only involves the Batman characters, The Green Lantern Corps, Swamp Thing, Watchmen, and V For Vendetta.
After a brief misunderstanding with the GLC is resolved, Doctor Manhattan summons the two Swamp Things (New 52 Alec Holland Swamp Thing and the Moore Swamp Thing) and Mogo to create a new Earth populated only by multiple Gotham Cities with multiple Batmen, Robins, Jokers, Jim Gordons, Batgirls, Harley Quinns, etc. But something goes wrong and the Three Thousand Jokers band together to invade another Earth, which turns out to be an alternate Watchmen Earth. A thousand of those Jokers land on Watchmen Earth prior to Doctor Manhattan's creation and alter the timeline, creating the V For Vendetta timeline and revealing that Adrian Veidt was the original V all along. Another thousand Jokers time travel and land in the 1940s where they alter the timeline of the Minutemen and World War II, creating a world where the US dropped a J-Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, turning the Japanese citizens into Batmen Who Laughs, who invade the rest of the world and turn everyone just like them. Comedian is the last remaining non-Jokerized human and he's just a fucking copy of Scott Snyder's Sgt Rock from Death Metal, only more politically incorrect and referring to his foes as "Batmen Who Raughs."
The remaining 1000 Jokers arrive on another Watchmen Earth this time in 1985, only to find that the 3000 Bat Families were waiting for them, leading to a big fight for 30 pages. Dr Manhattan (one that created Bat-Planet) merges with the Dr Manhattan of that world and becomes Double Manhattan.
