Like say there's a slow but safe way to do something, and a fast but dangerous way to do it. I could alter whether they would want to take the risk or not, and then maybe make it safer or more dangerous as I see fit.
Knocking arrows out of the air? Now if you miss they'll definitely hit something vital. Hell maybe I made it so you'd be willing to take that risk in the first place.
I could think of lots of stuff involving the work risk. Increase the risk of pregnancy.
Increase the risk of heart disease, cancer, the spreading of an illness...
