>>118761996>it is Adora's version, as it's visually different from Mara.Cosmetics and nothing more.
>Adora didn't get her powers back by just wanting themAbsolutely did, she did nothing else to get them back. No action, no sacrifice, not even holding out her hand so someone else could hand it to her, she just got it. Didn't even have to say please, just "I want my powers to save Cata", okay! Ding!
>he got them back to save her friends and they didn't come back until she went to save Catra, So, wanting them. You're describing her just wanting them, and nothing else.
>which is a thematic way of showing that Adora got over her rivalry with her.No it doesn't, she got over that in season 3 when she told her to get a life, and thematically it wouldn't fit in this moment because she had just saved Glimmer proving she at the very least was pretending to be different from the person she had an issue with. And, again, themes can't replace story, the story is Adora just wanted her powers back right then and got them, nothing else involved on her part. Just, wants it.
>how is that not related to her choice to leave the Horde when it was them who captured Swift Wind?Because, again, the conflict of the episode was she couldn't activate the She-Ra powers period unless it was to save someone, then she sees Swiftwind in danger and activates the She-Ra powers to save him. Then next episode that hanging plot thread of "Needs someone to need saving to activate" is gone. She's not torn up about her choice to leave the horde, she barely gets any dialog even in passing about it, the crux of the episode was her problem that she couldn't become She-Ra whenever.
