Just watched some episodes the last week and damn shit was whack, gotta admit it was an amazing show but way too mature for the kid audience, I would absolutely love a reebot or a movie

It's top three without a doubt. Honestly, if you forced me to choose between BTAS and Beyond, I'd probably lean Beyond. It had to be a lot harder to write and draw for, and Terry turned out to be a much better character than basically any superhero successor I can think of.

Why DC does everything in their power to ignore him and push characters like Damian Wayne or any of the female Bat family I just won't ever know. At least JLU gave us one last taste of Terry as a final goodbye.

This. They only used old villains strategically, showing Bane as a disheveled old man to show the passage of time, bringing back Joker for the movie to show how Terry handles him differently then Bruce, etc. The only time they just brought someone back just 'cause was Freeze, and the episode was great so I can't complain.

Batman’s villains lifestyles where so harmful to themselves, I wouldn’t be surprised most of them had just died in combat from their age or deteriorating sanity. I really just hope most went through rehabilitation.

Killing people is generally bad when it can be avoided. That said they definitely had it coming, it was supposed to be tragic for Freeze to be betrayed by the people he trusted and be pushed back to villainy.

Batman Beyond was perfect for 90s kids that were hitting 5 or 6 when BTAS came out and then were early teens for Beyond.

I would’ve like to see some villains grown out of their bad guy personas and live happy normal lives like Harvey and Ivy. Time can change people and I doubt most of them would remain that bitter as long as they weren’t too insane. But yeah Batman Beyond is perfect because it has it own better ideas or taking silver age nobodies and making them cool cyberpunk villains.

I like your idea of seeing villains “grow out of it” but seeing how most of the Batfamily were traumatized or damaged from their experience working with Bruce, and how Beyond villains suffered some on-screen Monkey’s Paw death, I would imagine that the creative team behind Beyond would do something tragic to any and all villains they brought back.

I can see there being a case for like Man-bat being some integrated, comfortable-with-their-deformities person. Or, the examples you provided coming back. Actually Harley Quinn wouldn’t be bad either.

It’s fine. I think the DCAU in general is aimed at a very general audience it was better off for it. Kids could enjoy it, teens and adults too. I feel like their recent stuff the last decade have aimed more at niche audiences and have suffered for it. Like the dcamu was clearly targeting a more older audience like their comics but at the same time, I feel insulted by how juvenile and soulless it feels as an adult, but it’s not really for kids either imo.

A successor to Poison Ivy with some connection to Terry, like the head of the environmentalism club at the High School.
All the villains were too cartoonishly evil, something more morally grey like "I'm blowing up these factories to save the planet" would've been an interesting adversary for Terry.

We don’t need to see the fate of every hero or villain, and the ones that do show up are used strategically.

Virgil being one of the few senior surviving members of the JL and Warhawk being in his 40s by the time the Justice League is introduced highlights just how much time has passed

I wish this new DC gimmick focused on the far future rather than just the present day + 5 years

I don't know. Someone high up at DC must just love Damian, because he's in EVERYTHING Batman-related now, and he is not and never will be a compelling character.

Man, the JL/JLU character designs were so fucking good. When they brought them back for the Justice League vs the Fatal Five movie it made me realize how much I missed that style of art. So clean and angular, just fucking fantastic.

I think I'd say Beyond and JLU were about on par with each other.

Damian was a neat little idea especially when written by Grant Morrison, but every other writer after has turned him into a joke of character. Og Damian is a trained militant assassin child who is loyal to his mother and wants to gain his father’s Batman respect, Nu-Damian is a edgy autistic tryhard with Marysuism and daddy issues.
