>>118742553Well yeah, I knew that. Thanks for answering my questions and/or putting up with my inane banter.
There are three movies with the exact same title in the Halloween franchise, and one is a direct sequel to another.
The reason the Hellraiser films between Bloodlines and that one with a new guy as Pinhead and Clive Barker hated it are weird is because most or all of them are actually just rejected movies with Hellraiser stuff shoved in so Dimension would keep the intellectual property, or at least that's what I've heard.
The 2005 movie Cursed is a big reason why Wes Craven stopped doing movies just because he was getting paid for them.
If you put the 2011 prequel and the 2002 video game in the same continuity, there are three stories about three different groups of people dealing with Things, and they're all titled The Thing.
Also the story that the John Carpenter movie was based on is an abridged version of a longer story that was found in like, 2019, and released to the public as a result of a kickstarter, and chances are if a new movie is made, it'll be based more closely on that.
>>118743112Kinda. It's a bit more complicated than that (especially if you include the filler arcs, but also if you include the final manga-exclusive arc that I think might get animated sometime), but for the first arc, that's more or less true, but those masks aren't usually removable, because they're part of the thing "wearing" that mask.
