>>118555345What I meant by that is that I don't really think the rushed elements detract from the story. More would've been nice, but it's not like it's desperately needed. The Apex, while important and are a big reason as to why the conflict is happening, we only needed to know what it meant what it meant to Grace and Simon for the central conflict. Focusing on the intricacies would've just been a waste of time.
The ending I believe was appropriate. Yeah there was a deus ex machina, but at the same time, it showed that Grace was willing to learn from her massive mistake. Simon's doubling down wasn't as "out there" as others say. He was given the same chances as Grace so his end was rather fitting.
