>>118531947>Then threw a rock at Rex after that made a useless hyped-up fusion that didn't even last 5 minutes instead of just taking over Alpha nanites.Pretty sure it was established that Alpha's unstable nature made it difficult for Rex to do much with his nanites, especially after he went all alien on the two.
>He is a secondary characterTo an extent, but you make it sound like he had nothing to contribute even though his presence is part of what drives the plot of the crossover.
>Never at the expense of his credibility when facing a real threat. Not like he was acting stupid or anything, hell, he was far more on the ball and mature in this than he was in AF, UA, or even OV where he was always fluctuating between between either obnoxiously dumb, or really confident and professional
>I meant he couldn't handle Alpha alone I must have accidentally deleted itAh, in that regard, I think we can chalk it up to him just not landing on an alien that was powerful enough, given Alpha was getting more and more powerful with the nanites he was draining.
>Yes, Cannonbolt was truly vital I mean isn't like Rex could have just used a rock or something to hit Alpha weak point.Who's to say the rock would have ensured the omega core would be knocked away. Having someone go through Alpha to nab it meant it was being handled and not just left to possibly float back into Alpha's body
>it's an admission of me being right. But you're not "right", you just gave an opinion and act like it's factual
>Alpha's motivation are weak, he doesn't feel threatening, he doesn't have a personality he is more plot device than actual characterHe's got some character, feeling like a child who has been forsaken by his father, Caesar. And he was pretty threatening given he could drain and kill things far more gruesomely than Van Kleiss. But I don't deny he felt like his arc was incomplete, though that's the fault of whoever was calling the shots for the crossovers not making a proper followup.
