>>118522587Oh absolutely, but that's more the writer just not being good at writing and missing out on the setup that had plenty to work with. There are so many missed opportunities beyond the stock "Save us, twitter folk, we have lesbians!" hail mary.
>She is in charge of a squad of teenagers in a warWow, lots you could do with that. What did they do? Forget they existed.
>She has to give up a priveldged position in order to fight with the rebellion.Any sort of conflict? Nope. She sees one bad thing that apparently she just didn't notice before despite it being a major thing, and nobody told her about it, and instantly switches sides with no regrets. One episode and done with that whole major "character arc."
>Her mother, the woman who raised her and dotes on her and just wants her to succeed is the one leading the invasion.Wow, must make her conflicted to be fighting against someone who clearly cared for her and trained her and put her in the highest positions, right? Nope. No joke, if you cut out what they told you of their backstory you'd swear these characters had never actually met face to face before and only heard shitty stories of the other. They sure as shit don't act like they know each other, let alone that they care.
>Hordak is her main antagonist for 4 seasonsThey meet once and I'm pretty sure that confirms that was the first and only time.
>Sudden out of nowhere final bossWow, glad Adora got to build up such a presence with him. Glad she's got real stakes that have been present since the start and we understand her feelings towards-yeah. He's a stock generic badguy they pulled out of their ass and means nothing to the characters. Didn't do anything important to Adora and doesn't mean anything besides 'He bad'.
The potential was there and screaming, and the only thing holding it back is that the writer suuuuccckkkss.
