>>118419532>all that Korra defense force posting a while backWait was this directly tied to that shit hitting Netflix? What a bunch of fucking shills.
>"NO IT'S GOOD THO I LITERALLY JUST BINGED IT OVERNIGHT BECAUSE I HEARD THERE WOULD BE LESBIANS AND IT'S GOOD BECAUSE IT'S LESBIANS."Just watch She Ra instead, it's the same arcs with better jokes and an actual villain. The amount of shows that have just been "Korra except not trash" is pretty funny actually. She Ra for actual lesbians, Steven Universe for Gay Space Rocks and infinitely more engaging story even at its lowest points, or the Dragon Prince, because
while that first season is fucking rough it actually manages to capture a taste of that AtlA charm.
Korra is a cliffnote that could stand to fall off the page entirely. It didn't engage or entrance anyone anywhere near the extent of the original, all the soul and even, I feel, the fucking music is completely unmemorable. I remember the season 2 trailer theme, vaguely, and the somber tune that plays at the end of season 3, because the literal only exciting thing that happens in Korra is her actually suffering consequences for the events of the story and also fucking MERCURY POISONING. But no just pull Toph out of your ass and she'll pull the poison out of Korra's ass and then we can all collectively pull the Big O out of Kuvira's ass.
There were ingredients and aspects of every season that could have been made into a great story, with some amount of polish or vision, but every aspect that could have worked is misused or later shat on to rush a conflict resolution out of the gate.
TL;DR: The ultimate lesson of this series, in my opinion: it's better to leave the 3rd season on a cliffhanger that's maybe never resolved than to have 4 shitty endings spread out across as many seasons.
