Bill, however, is clearly far past that, because aside from being a psychopathic, possessive, jaded asshole he, ironically, never developed the hobbies he so jealously tries to guard from newcomers. He doesn't even seem to like the nerd stuff anymore, perhaps never did. All he ever does is shit on it for not being what it used to be, instead of finding something new or creating something on his own like the rest of the guys.
And to make it all even worse he lures in the rest of the club into his shitty little world, and he does it on purpose. He's a human-shaped black hole, he has absolutely zero positive influence on anything or anyone ever. All he can do is to just drag people down to his level so they'll be as miserable as he is.
No, he's not redeemable, because he doesn't even feel such a need.
