>>118287591It was fine. As always, Kevin was the best part and the rest was forgettable. It was good that they gave him some defining character growth after spending 2 seasons making us like him, and the opening implies he's officially part of the team, which is really cute. A space adventure was certainly more interesting than fighting tim buktu and Zombozo for the millionth time, and having movies where the heroes go against big deals and unlock more powerful aliens is way more fun than episodic "comedy" adventures with boring humans.
The problem with this show is still how awkward it tells its stories. The way scenes are paced the lack of music in certain areas, and the rushed actions of the characters make it really hard to be invested or care about it in any way more than "oh hey that was kinda alright". I think this is something also seen in the other CN reboots so maybe management wants their shows to look cheap and lazy despite them not being that at all.
Whatever, I got the Kevin moments I wanted, and I will watch the other movies if they keep up the pace with him.
