It almost seems like he started out merely drawing fat girls because people commissioned him for them. But man, he's taking a LOT of fat art commissions lately, way more than I would have expected.
Maybe he's been bitten by the fatfag bug. It's basically what happened to Axel-Rosered. Everybody forgets that Axel started out primarily as an inflation artist who only got into fat girls because people paid him to draw them. But somewhere along the way, Axel got a genuine fat fetish. You can tell because that's when his fat girls started to look like actual fat girls, as opposed to inflated girls with a few modifications.
Almost seems like the same thing happened to Hugo.
