>>118183911>>118183937WOY's inhabitants have been shown on dozens of occasions to be utterly incompetent and are routinely enslaved, abused, presumably murdered in S2, subjugated and generally messed around with. Even assuming Wander has this mindset, it'd be completely justified, and this argument makes virtually no sense within context of the show despite being presented as a "gotcha!" moment.
It's also silly to assume Dominator would even opt for a route as diplomatic as this. She's smart, sure, but she's also a Hater-tier manchild and would opt for more immature tactics (groaning in an aggravated manner, holding Wander tighter, locking down the ship, etc). Even if she did decide to go for persuasion, she'd present her argument in a much colder manner, simply assuming that the other party would recognize she's correct until otherwise disputed.
The point I'm trying to make here is that people like to make a habit of downplaying the fact that Dominator has severe antisocial personality disorder. Nobody who gets off on planetary destruction on a daily basis would be this socially well-adjusted. I get this is wish fulfillment, but it could do without being so transparent.
