Iron Man

>Tony Stark is captured by Al-Qaeda.
>Howard Stark died in an accident caused by Tony’s prototype repulsor tech. He told Tony not to save him to protect the tech.
>Tony angsts about sharing his tech with the world for all three movies.
>In the final battle between Stark and Obadiah Stane, Stark destroys the entire Stark Industries building, killing thousands of employees before reluctantly killing Stane.


Iron Man V Captain America: Civil War

>Captain America has been out of the ice for a while but grew disillusioned with modern America.
>Cap believes Stark’s tech is too dangerous.
>Stark believes Cap is too outdated.
>Justin Hammer – reinvented as a spergy millennial – manipulates them into fighting so he can take over Stark Industries.
>When this fails, he creates Ultron.
>Black Widow, a SHIELD agent who had been investigating Hammer’s research, steps in to help.
>Stark sacrifices himself to destroy Ultron, Hammer announces a greater evil is coming – Hydra.


The Avengers

>Cap assembles Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk and Ant-Man to fight Hydra, led by Crossbones. Red Skull is teased, but never seen. Thor is left out.
>Crossbones plan is to create an army of Extremis soldiers.
>Cap is depressed about Stark’s death and decides to revive him using Extremis and a backup of his mind that he made prior to being killed by Ultron.
>Stark comes back and goes crazy for a while before Pepper Potts restores him to his senses.
>Hulk is a nerfed, intelligent dudebro jock.
>Ant-Man is a spergy useless comic relief.
>Hawkeye is a brooding loner. Turns out he got serum’d by SHIELD, hence his super-aim, but it backfired and made him deaf.
>The Avengers battle Crossbones. Iron Man returns to help and Crossbones is killed by his malfunctioning Extremis soldiers.
>Movie ends with the Avengers being embraced by the public and deciding to recruit more members.
