Post characters that didn't deserve what happened to them, whatever they just got in a shitty situation not of their fault or did something bad and their punishment was disproportionately harsh.

Literally everyone in H-E-R-O. People only post the Shocking Suzie arc because of the cheesecake, but almost everyone else who touches the Dial ends up dead or maimed at the end of the series.

I think he got off pretty easy, just lost his identity and GF and got some radical powers in exchange.
Weren't there others that died or were horribly fucked up from using the Dial in that same comic as well?

True but all of them get screwed either by their own hubris, or stupidity. Like the crook who wanted recognition or the business man that wanted fame and power. Joe just got transformed and suffered for it. His downfall came more as bad luck that anything brought up by a character flaw.

That depressed kid who survived the first arc, went on to get a girlfriend and get her pregnant, then was killed by the villain at the end didn't do anything to screw himself over.
Robby manipulated him into coming back to be a real hero, and he died for it.
