If you're in the fucking Maritimes then you have a whole different set of accents from the ROC, and if you're Quebecois then I don't know what to tell you. But the vast majority of native English speaking Canadians do pronounce words like about and house differently than the vast majority of native English speaking Americans. Open your ears up. This is not a small or poorly studied phenomenon. There's a reason the "aboot" stereotype exists.
