Joker didn't deserve best picture at all but my God Parasite felt like something made by students, the acting was terrible, the plot twist didn't fit the story realistic style and they failed to show the reasons why the protagonist family couldn't join the market.

See I can accept that as an actual explanation from someone whose seen it. Can't stand people hopping on the hate train without having at least watched it tho. I personally really likes the directing, felt the way the story was storyboarded really made the comedy and narrative engaging. It's true at the end of the day it's a "social class system bad" sort of thing, but I still liked the tale it told.

I know some people are polarized on the second half and I get that. I definitely likes the first half more.

I don't think it was a masterpiece, but I appreciate that it had a kind of energy to it that I don't typically see in most nominated films. Felt like a change of pace.

But nope, they only show a lot of poor people living in a ghetto for 5 minutes in the movie,they don't even show how is the daily life of a poor person in south korea, only show the fuckers bitching.

That's it, the entire movie is that, and the worst part is how the movie story is not even realistic fucking up all the immersion.

I think it's more a commentary of "this is a pitfall of our current system, and these pitfalls should be addressed". Having a criticism of how things work doesn't necessarily mean break down the entire system. I think there should be more safety nets for Healthcare, but I'm not on board with single payer or anything like that. It makes sense to point out the issues with what you have so you can improve it. I think that's fine enough.

Yknow my sister had the same problem with the movie when she saw it. She found it pointless because we don't see how they get there so there was nothing to learn from it, she felt. And I understand that frustration. I think it's less about how they got there, and more about how that situation affects relationships between people of varying social class. I took it more as an observation rather than a "look how we got here" story. But seeing how they got there would have been nice, yeah. But at the end of the day, the relationship the two families have is more the focus,so that it can apply to many countries with this system. Because how they got poor in Korea might have no relation to other nations.

Even this premise is taken down by the fact they only worked by the wealthy family for 1 week or so, the concept of a mixed relationship between the 2 families would be interesting but they never really get personal to each other nor we ever see much of the guy personality. Sorry but I simply feel like this movie show absolutely nothing and teaches absolutely nothing and is not even a beatiful movie by a Cinematographic point of view, is basically something you would expect from a group of students not from a highly praised director.
