>>117312072I'd prefer to see something different other than a big bad. With some creative retconning, the "Inferno" crossover story would/could easily cover all marvel franchises both avengers and xmen with a nod n wink to daredevil vs mephisto.
Double dipping into two basically cosmic marvel level threats doesnt feel like good storytelling. I get that it's highly unlikely that the mouse can milk the marvel franchise through a plateau crossover series of movies before working to a new buildup, so theres that.
Inferno could revitalize the xmen, have a strong tie in with the new mutants, we'd have enough magic and sorcery for dr strange, hell even daredevil could get a movie out of it. The only issue would be Madeline pryor/goblin queen/big bad.
From a very large storyline aspect, I kinda see it like this
Endgame caused fractures in reality, allowing pocket dimensions/hell to bleed through, inferno happens via multi movie arc focusing on xmen new mutants with a dabble of avengers and re-inject FF and silver surfer near the ending to herald galactus being drawn toward earth due to the giant influx of cosmic events.
Past that, with galactus as a bbeg, we bring back more avengers, ff, silver surfer, get an adam warlock movie, and maybe bring in more of those giant cosmic battles we lost out on that were in the original infinity gauntlet/infinity war comics
