>>117229992>/co/ has always defended and loved She-RaHere's my recollection of events as someone who didn't care about the original or the remake.
At first /co/ was reeeing as with all the shitty calarts reboots with pretty much the same talking points as thundercats roar with extra complaints about She-Ra looking like a tranny. Towards the release the hateboner subsided compared to some of the other shows as there wasn't too much shit around(like twitter rants from crew and shit) it to keep the fire going. When it came out /co/ was neutral on average because it was relatively decent as a show. There were some threads with some actual discussion and some bitching here and there.
When the lesbian shit happened I didn't pay too much attention to the thread but it was kind of a split opinion with dykes, coomers and dyke coomers liking it and the people who oppose any type of faggotry in cartoons on principle hating it. It still wasn't as bad as Korra or Adventure time for instance.
Overall the reception here was better than that of similar shows and not quite as polarizing. A lot of the hate seemed directed more towards the fans of the show with their triumphant proclamations of 'lgbt won you chuds' rather than the show itself
