Sup /co/

I'm just starting to get into comics, but it's rather frustrating how a single storyline is continued in multiple series. Is there a resource somewhere that has something akin to a flowchart that would tell me ahead of time that I need to pick up spin-off #54 to bridge the story in between main series #9 and #10, or do I just have to hope they point out out at the end of the issue?
