The argument about guns compatible with kryptonite bullets being hard to make is a valid point, but didn't Superman get shot by a kryptonite bullet before? Either that or some projectile got shot into his chest and Batman had to take it out. But Superman can see through Batman's mask, so making x-ray technology that's good enough to see through any clothes or material can't be impossible.

Well now you're adding luck to the formula, the individual will need an expensive kryptonite, a rare kryptonite weapon and be in the right place in the right time to kill him.

So it's possible to kill him this way, just like you can kill Spider-Man while he's too dizzy to use his Spider-Sense, the problem is how unlikely it will be.

Superman did that in STAS. Batman retaliated by planting a tracking device on his cape and figuring out that he was Clark Kent.

Kryptonite is really expensive and difficult to obtain. It's also radioactive and Lex Luthor got cancer from being exposed to it.
