As a Man Joe was the strippers as simply sexy women taking up their clothes on stage and doing lapdances for money, but as Jo/Shocking Suzi she gets to experience their lives and meet them as equals and joining their group.
So the drive to help her new friends is what makes Jo's powers slowly return and become ElectroLass once again.
As for leaving the stripclub I'm conflicted, on the one hand makes sense that as she builds her life back together to leave the place, on the other if you are going to build up her relationship with the red district community it would feel wrong if she abandoned her new friends.
I like the idea that she eventually either owns the club making it a little more friendly to the women working there or opens a bar where a girl can get a job no questions asked.
