I think a far greater issue is the amount of fake star wars fans that glommed onto the sequels, and fell on their sword defending TLJ as high art.
I don't think the Twilight audience, who many believe define a not-insignificant amount of the Reylos, care about Star Ways. I think after episode 8 we've seen an exponential increase in artsy contrarians celebrating Rian Johnson, the destruction of an IP, and the value of "subverting expectations" over telling a good story.
Autistic fans are loyal to a brand, provided the brand doesn't go tits up like Star Wars did. They'll stick by a brand long after that brand has fallen out of favor with the mainstream community, and those people are ultimately who should be listened to after the hype train has died down. Writing off anyone who makes/comments on videos critical of Kennedy or that commie asshole Pablo Hidalgo or anyone else at Lucasfilm is a mixture of grifters, but also people who genuinely care about the IP and don't want it diminished.
