>>116734257Sure but gloss in 3/4 was elevated from being an embodiment of knoweldge to God/Avatar of magic.
He made creatures that monitored multiverse and spacial dimensions as well as time.
He actively caused everything in the show to occur in the most confounding episode where he has meteora assualt toffee. He says all this shit, shows how prophetic and unaffected by time he is, then says meteora will inherit magic.
It's terrible writting and if calling prior content non-canon is off the table we have to hustle.
Relegating meteora into a rookie replacement for gloss and keeping her in the magic realm to over see its reconstruction and management effectively writes her out of the story in a way that satisfies continuity and her prior fans.
Fucking Star off at the end is also a way of writing her out while keeping in the themes of the show. You can't screw or replace main characters in the fifth or sixth season of a show. You have to make it about them, you have to give them the arc.
Star's arc is loss and desperation. Every season she loses something, becomes desperate and fucks it up worse.
In season 1 her natural evil fucks up her familial relationships and sends her to earth where she's so desperate to eschew responsibility for her actions that she canonically acts retarded so no one can call her out.
In season 2 she loses marco after finally realising she wants him and she fucks up mewni again because of her desperation (princess song).
You can break down the other seasons in similar ways.
